What should you wear with wedges?
7 March

While outfits frequently finish with the footwear, if you've got a brand new pair of shoes chances are you want to show them off and make them the starting point.

Working from the bottom up when planning an outfit can pose difficulties however, especially choosing what to wear on your legs.

Wedges continue to be very on-trend this spring season, with sandals and boots continuing to make this heel shape a staple shoe for all year round.

But the big question is what can you wear them with?

When it comes to designs such as the Millie boot, in a black ankle boot style it's all about the weather.

For colder weather you can choose from a range of options, such as skinny jeans or skirts and dresses when paired with leggings or opaque black tights.

However, come summer and you want to bare your legs the ankle boot shape can be less flattering on nude pins.

This is where the wedge court or sandal design comes in.

For office chic or universal smartwear, the Maddie Wedge is a great choice, offering comfort and style with its contrasting matte wedge heel and patent charcoal, black or dark red glossy front finish.

The court style elongates the legs with its bare front, meaning these wedges are equally suited to both trousers and skirts.

For lighter more summery attire why not try out the Rio Sandals?

With their rope lurex finish, these soft gold shoes are both glamorous and modern and with their open toe and cross-over top they look beautiful paired with either trousers, skirts or even poking through the bottom of a fabulous maxi dress.
