If you’ve been invited to nuptials this season - at home or in warmer climes - you might be wondering what to wear to a winter wedding? The usual pastels and lighter tones feel a bit out of season, but you don’t want to look like you’re off to a Christmas party either. It needs to strike the right tone.
Here, @rachelleyadegar shows us what she’d wear to watch them say ‘I do’, and it’s definitely more fabulous than festive.
Metallic tones are the pretty pastels of winter wedding outfits. Avoid looking too glitzy by opting for rich, molten tones rather than sparkly, glittery styles. It’s more sophisticated to shimmer than sparkle at winter weddings, so keep it matte and add a little high-shine with jewellery instead. If your wedding is in the UK, or colder climates, wear our Gish lamé dress with a classic black double-breasted wool coat like our Toulouse coat and step into strappy heels.
Floral prints are tried-and-tested wedding guest outfit fodder, and winter weddings should be no exception. Our Agnes dress features a pretty chrysanthemum print on a black satin base and is finished with a pretty lace trim, so it looks dressy without being too much. Team it with a strappy heel, a vintage-inspired drawstring pouch like our Dolly bag and shrug on our Ava coat in beautiful forest green to play up to the flora and fauna of the occasion.
