Who inspires you as a woman and why?
Karen Brady is a public female figure who I have always admired. It’s inspiring and invigorating to see a woman succeed in a male dominated environment such as football. Seeing her in top roles such as managing director of Birmingham FC, and now West Ham FC is truly inspiring.
Sharna - PR & Influencer Officer
Can you think of an iconic fashion moment that was empowering?

A personal iconic fashion moment for me was the dress I wore to my university graduation. I’d been shopping around for a while, and finally found a dress that had a similar fabric to a key piece from the LKB collection I worked with while interning for my placement year.

It was a style that represented a formative period of my life and was perfect to wear at the closing chapter.

Why do you think it’s important to have women in leadership roles in female focused industries such as fashion?

I think it's important for women to be in roles of leadership in all industries. Seeing women in leadership roles aligns with the idea that you can achieve anything despite your gender.

It's nice to see that finally women have a seat at the table and can inspire future generations.

Why do you think it’s important to have women in leadership roles in female focused industries such as fashion?

It’s so important to ensure women have a seat at the table, particularly in female focused industries like fashion - to represent the real female voice.

Having women be so successful in key leadership roles is empowering and proves that despite the many hurdles we may face, that we can achieve anything.

Can you think of an iconic fashion moment that was empowering?

Amongst the earliest screen stars, there are few who walked that line as expertly as Marlene Dietrich. She was a leader of women on screen in her time and pushed the limits of femininity and restraint.

She defied the norms of fashion and was said to be the first woman to wear a trouser suit for a truly empowering and iconic fashion moment.
